The Atalla A10100 from HP is a high-performance network security processor (NSP) providing protection for Triple-DES and other cryptographic keys when safeguarding value-based transactions. The performance of the Atalla A10100 NSP has been benchmarked at 540 Triple-DES PIN translates per second.

Additional features include an auto-sensing Ethernet interface for fast host connectivity, assured interoperability with non-Atalla environments, and support for customer-defined security policies via customer-selectable commands. The Atalla A10100 NSP incorporates more than three decades of standards-based cryptographic expertise coupled with the latest open systems technologies from HP.
