Year after year, GEOBRIDGE is committed to corporate philanthropy programs and takes great pride in giving back. This November, to ring in the holiday season, employees were provided the opportunity to give back directly to organizations that were important to them with a $500 donation. Each employee spoke about their charity at the company holiday dinner, sharing their passion behind their beneficiary choice.
Amy Lowell, Director of Operations, adds, “GEOBRIDGE prides itself on contributing to nonprofit organizations throughout the year. Above and beyond, GEOBRIDGE encouraged employees to participate and give back to organizations important to each. A wonderful shared opportunity to pay it forward.”
To name a few, charitable organizations included: Wreaths Across America, Operation Stand Down Tennessee, Fairfax County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association, Partnership for Clean Water and Education, Montgomery County Science Teachers Association, Alzheimer’s Association, The Clarke County Education Foundation, Love in Action, United Church of Christ, Redwood Gospel Mission, and Wings of Mercy.
“I chose Operation Stand Down Tennessee, because it is an organization that focuses on helping all Veterans and their families with employment assistance, VA benefits assistance, networking, housing, and a lot more and being a Veteran these type of organizations mean a lot to me”, said Stephanie Conway, Project Manager.
David Anderson, Technical Support Engineer, said about the Fairfax County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association, “I have several friends who have volunteered for the fire department in Fairfax, and several friends who are currently firefighters. The department provides an important service to the community.”
Jan Joseph, Administrative Assistant, noted, “I am honored to choose Partnership for Clean Water and Education to be the beneficiary of the donation in my name. I have traveled to Honduras for the past ten consecutive years, as part of a mission team bringing a basic life necessity…clean water….to the poorest of poor, living in remote villages in the mountains of western Honduras. I have witnessed lives transformed by this work…both those we have served, and those performing the work.”
Happy Holidays from the GEOBRIDGE Team!
